Presentation
The Vicerrectorate for Research is the best research organization of the National University of Engineering, responsible for directing, planning and executing the general policy of research in the university.
It manages Research, development and innovation of projects, with high levels of performance and social impact. The main aim is to focus the current and future challenges demanded by the country and the global world, through its support bodies: the Office of Management of Research (OGI) and the Office of Management of Innovation and Technology Transfer (OGIT).
Scientific production, management and research activities are carried out according to the Annual Research Plan within the framework of research lines developed by the University.

Main Attributions
- Direct and execute the general research policy in the University.
- Supervise research and innovation activities in order to guarantee their quality and their agreement with the mission and established goals.
- Organize the dissemination of knowledge and research results.
- Manages and promote research funding.
- Promote the generation of resources for the University through the production of goods and the provision of services derived from research and development activities, as well as obtaining the royalties by patents and other intellectual property rights.
